CLEARTEST Troponin I
CLEARTEST Troponin I
ClearTest Troponin I: Comprehensive heart attack diagnostics & success monitoring
The CLEARTEST Troponin I not only allows the detection of myocardial infarction but also the monitoring of the success of infarction treatment and the risk assessment of the probable course of the disease in patients with angina pectoris.
Precise diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome
The CLEARTEST Troponin I test is ideal for the diagnosis of acute coronary syndrome. Troponin is a protein that is released into the blood when the heart muscle is damaged. After a heart attack, cardiac troponins (cTnT and cTnI) are detectable in the blood from about 3 to 8 hours after the onset of pain. There are cases where there is little or no change in the ECG, which is when laboratory values such as troponin become very important. Elevated troponin levels indicate cardiac damage; if the troponin level is constantly normal, a heart attack is unlikely.
Early detection for myocardial damage in 10 minutes
The test utilizes the sensitivity of the protein troponin, which is released into the blood when heart muscle damage occurs. The CLEARTEST Troponin I test can detect troponin I from about 8 hours after the onset of pain and then remains detectable for about 7-10 days. Troponin T can be measured in the blood after about 3 hours and is therefore commonly used in hospitals. The test has a detection limit of 0.5 ng/ml and evaluation is within 10 minutes. The test should be stored between 2-30°C to ensure correct functioning.
